When you click “Go to Checkout” on a course page, we store a record of the declarations you confirmed (Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and the express consent to immediate access to digital content with acknowledgement of the loss of the right of withdrawal). The record contains the date and time, your IP address, your browser’s user agent and language, the selected plan and price, the page address and the exact wording of the confirmed declarations. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and to fulfil our legal obligations (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR) in order to be able to prove these declarations in the event of a dispute or chargeback. The record is stored on our web server in the EU, is not shared with third parties and is deleted 3 years after the end of the year of purchase, unless it is needed for ongoing proceedings.

Email list and free course access (MailerLite)

When you request access to our free course “Quick Start in Unreal Engine 5” or sign up for our emails, we collect your email address and, if you provide them, your name and the consents you tick in the form. We also store the time of sign-up and confirmation and the IP address used (double opt-in), so that we can prove your consent.

We use this data to send you the access link to the free course, emails about the course (for example lesson updates and important notices), and — only if you have given separate consent — information about our other courses and offers (marketing emails). The legal bases are Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for delivering the course you requested, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for course-related emails and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR for marketing emails.

Our email service provider is MailerLite (MailerLite Limited, Ireland), which processes the data on our behalf as a processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. MailerLite may record whether an email was delivered, opened or a link was clicked, so that we can improve our emails. The sign-up form on our website is loaded with a script from MailerLite.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the end of every email or by writing to info@cgsensei.pro, and you can withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future. After you unsubscribe, we delete your data from the mailing list; we keep only your email address on a block list so that you no longer receive emails from us.

We process personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract (AGB) — to register you for training, provide access to courses, issue invoices, receive and process payments, and fulfil our obligations to users.
  • User consent — where users voluntarily provide personal data through forms on the website or via messaging services when submitting a request.
  • Legitimate interests — to improve service quality, support users, prevent fraud and ensure the security of our services.

  • Technical support and troubleshooting
  • Improving the quality of our services
  • Complying with legal obligations
  • Protecting our legitimate interests

5. Sharing Data with Third Parties

We do not sell, rent or transfer your personal data to third parties, except in the following cases:

  • Service providers — the course and payment platform Teachable (Teachable, Inc., USA; payments are processed by Stripe), the email service MailerLite (MailerLite Limited, Ireland) and YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) for course videos. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses.
  • Legal requirements — where required by law or necessary to protect our rights.

All third parties are required to ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data.
